These horses are currently being evaluated, trained or conditioned. By giving each horse a MINIMUM 30 days of evaluation under saddle, on the ground, with other horses, dogs, kids, and in the barn we are able to best match horse and rider. Any horse that exhibits vices or issues with attitude or soundness will not be placed until those issues can be addressed. We DO take deposits on horses during the evaluation period. If issues arise during evaluation that make the horse unsuitable the deposit can be refunded or applied towards another horse.
STARFIRE – ‘Miss Starfire Mac’ -8 yr old AQHA Dun mare. Boston Mac and King breeding. Broke to ride, sound, good minded. No barn vices. Gorgeous!! Lovely to work with, nice mover! Works quietly on the lunge line.
JUST IN! – Sorrel gelding. 5 years old, 15 hh. Good minded and broke to ride! (Name this guy for a $25 donation to CHC!) After only 3 days at CHC this good minded fellow stood quietly to be clipped (ears and all!)
“UNO” aka BEAU – “Poco Chex” gelding – 3 year old AQHA dun, lovely sound horse with great mind and no bad habits — and a looker, too!
BRUTUS — big solid paint gelding. 4 years old, 15.3 hands, broke, no barn vices.
ROANY PONY aka “Wicked II” - AQHA reg Red Roan mare. 6 years old. Good minded and athletic. Sound, no barn, vices.
BOSS — Red Dun QH gelding. 14.3 hands. Finished barrel horse, knows the pattern and likes to go! Good minded enough to ride on trails and also participated in the Christmas parade. Neck reins, lopes, takes his leads. Not spooky. Rides bareback or saddled and can also do the pattern bridleless. Sound, no barn vices, good for farrier.
